Gerald Berthelette brings his expertise as a Biologist, both as a field technician and technical writer to Sonoran. He has 10 years of experience conducting biological resource studies, working with leading energy producers, state and federal agencies, and local community members and organizations throughout the southwestern United States, and internationally in Nicaragua and China. Since coming on board in 2023, Gerald has worked closely with tribal entities around the southwest, securing a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) with the Bureau of Indian Affairs and conducted US Forest Service Master Utility permitting on behalf of local tribal utility companies. Gerald’s knowledge of local resources, as well as his past work on right-of-way projects in the Southwest, and his affiliations with the Tucson Cactus and Succulent Society and the Arizona chapter for the National Association of Environmental Professionals proves invaluable to the Sonoran team and its mission.
